WHO Reader Leah Doyle lost 7.7kgs in 4 months

But it's the way she's kept it off that will have you shocked!

Before signing up with Ultimate Performance in Sydney’s CBD, Leah Doyle, 32, would often let social events get in the way of going to the gym.

Doyle’s weight started creeping up in 2012 when her mum became ill.

“It was a life-changing moment for me. I didn’t know how to deal with the trauma, so my health deteriorated and I put on a lot of weight.”

But in just four months, Doyle has been able to turn it all around with the help of her trainer, Nick. During the first eight weeks she dropped weight quickly before she hit a plateau.

“When my trainer Nick saw how I was feeling, he spent about an hour chatting me through this stage. I walked away feeling so much better as he educated me on why this was happening and gave me the tools to keep going. Without his support I would have thrown in the towel.”

But keep going she did. As well as the training and support from the staff, Ultimate Performance has a meal plan, which Doyle has found really helpful.

“The great thing about UP is all the mean plans are set for you,” says Doyle. “I learnt to eat out and modify my meals … and I was made accountable by my trainer and sent him a photo of each of my meals, which helped me learn more about hidden calories in food.”

Now that she’s hit her target weight of 65kg, Doyle says, “The confidence I feel and how strong I have become keeps me motivated to push myself and keep going. I have a newfound love for training and I am so grateful for everything that my trainer, Nick, and Ultimate Performance has done for me.”
