Mariah Carey is set to tour Australia in 2025 – her first professional trip Down Under in over 12 years. Carey has been announced to headline Fridayz festival alongside Pitbull and Wiz Khalifa, which will play in four Australian cities in October.
This is huge news for Aussie ‘Lambs’ (the name for Carey’s fans), who haven’t seen the singer on our shores since her last Australian tour in 2013. It’s not yet known if Carey will add some solo sideshows to her schedule, but the 56-year-old songstress is currently touring in Asia—so, we’re holding out hope she’ll add a few extra concerts for our benefit.
It’s a significant year for Carey, who is celebrating the 20th anniversary of her hit album The Emancipation of Mimi. Released in the US in 2005, Mimi was declared a comeback for Mariah, who hadn’t released an album since Butterfly in 1997. The comeback album launched instant hits like ‘We Belong Together’, which topped charts and earned Carey three Grammys that year.
As Carey marks a momentous year professionally, the ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ singer also continues to mourn the deaths of her mother and sister, who passed away on the same day in 2024. Carey had a strained relationship with both her mother and sister, but had grown closer to her mother after her youth.

Here, everything you need to know about Fridayz festival and Mariah Carey’s grand return to Oz.
